AMOS Studio Milestone 1

AMOS Studio is a new macOS development environment for creating AMOS Professional software on a modern Mac, with the long-term goal of producing files and executables that remain compatible with real and emulated Amiga systems.

Milestone 1 focuses on building the foundation of the application. This includes the Mac IDE itself, project creation and saving, a dedicated AMOS source editor, syntax highlighting, line numbers (optional), a command database, basic parsing, diagnostics and project validation. The aim is for AMOS Studio to understand AMOS syntax rather than simply act as a generic text editor.

The application is also structured so that later features can be added cleanly, including genuine .AMOS file support, AMOS banks, ADF disk handling, compiler integration and emulator support.

Milestone 1 does not yet provide full Amiga compatibility. Source files are still stored internally as normal text, and AMOS Studio does not yet generate Amiga executables.

The next major milestone will focus on reading and writing genuine tokenised AMOS Professional source files. From there, development will move toward .ABK and .ABS bank support, ADF creation and editing, Workbench and CLI executable output, and eventually a complete Mac-to-Amiga development workflow.

Please note that this project will eventually be paid.  Please also note that while AI is used in this project, it is primarily only used to fine tune existing code. As a final note, AMOS Studio will only be available on Mac.

I feel releasing this for crApple is sacreligious.
Sorry, just felt like speaking out about it.

No problem. I knew that this would not suit everybody. I'm primarily an Apple developer, as such I've created this as a Mac based project. It fills a need for Mac users, though not for those using other platforms.

The fact that you yourself don't see a problem with this is exactly whats wrong with it.
Carry on, I guess.
